Been a Roller Coaster Ride!
Hey guys, first of all, a big Congratulations to the Champions of the recently concluded Borneo Sevens 2010. The weather was crazy, but the games were fierced and all teams showed exceptional standards of good rugby. Congratulations to all participating teams, a big thank you to all officials, sponsors, working committees, referees & our medical crew, volunteers, friends, fans and special thanks to ASTRO Arena for bringing us live that weekend on Malaysian TV, bringing us closer to our fans out there, who couldn't be with us, and wanted to be there for US. THANK YOU.
From the family of SRC, we would like to congratulate our Eagles led by PJ & his crew, for lifting the name of the Club in the Borneo Sevens, Sing 7s & COBRA 10s. Its three major consecutive weekends guys, CRAZY.. and although, we did not take the crown.. we did kick some ass back there !!! And to our Sabah Eagles, SRU Development Team... nevertheless , you guys did us PROUD!
Next in line, would be our Darwin 7s, HK 10s & HK 7s.. and ...will conclude the journey this year, with Sri Langkan Sevens... :) Having said that, our efforts to PROMOTE and DEVELOP the game of RUGBY in this country as well as the REGION, will continously be in force, as we strategise ourselves in our youth rugby development programmes, as well as our joint friendly matches with some of the bigger names in the rugby arena. And in 2011, with the current RWC fever.. we hope to be able to bring forward more talented eagles and good tournaments to you, rugby enthusiasts OUT THERE..
SRC as we call ourselves is a CLUB located in Borneo. However, like our friends and fans, our EAGLES are all over, as we recognise great talents regardless of where & how they are made, we have some good eagles made at home.., some in the process and some are already soaring high, and we have got those joining us from abroad... great and huge talents, as our great Supporters, Players & Friends. When we talk rugby, we think BIG. And, we bring those who share the same passion, to be with us, no matter where they are, cause back here in the Home of the Borneo Eagles, rugby is indeed.. much.. much more, than just a GAME.
For those, taking an early xmas & year end break... have a wonderful blessed Christmas! May this coming brand NEW YEAR bring all of us, joy and laughters. And as we cheers to the spirits of Xmas.. and be thankful for a fruitful year, may we not forget the unfortunate ones, and our rugby friends who sadly left us, may their Soul rest in Peace and the memories live on.
Lets strive for a better 2011!!! But before that.. lets get a little bit DRUNK and Cheers to a wonderful NEW YEAR.....
