The Journey of a Thousand Miles...

I am blogging today from work.... inspired with responses that we have received from the borneo eagles fans.. :)
We are proud to say that we have entered into a decade of organising the Borneo Sevens, started off with Borneo-Cobra 10s, Borneo 10s & Borneo 7s. Although, our Club is brand new.. but the efforts placed by the founder and the committees dated way back before the SRC is built. For the pioneers who made this happen, we SALUTE you.
Its been a decade alright, and the Borneo Eagles have spread its wings far far away, proudly carrying the name of the Club, making its fierce mark in renowned international tournaments, and national tournaments at the home front. Together with our joint organiser, IJM Plantations Berhad, we have carried out various rugby development projects in the State of Borneo and will continue our contributions to promote Borneo as the Land of Rugby in Asia.
The journey of a thousand miles may have begun a decade ago, but we are still a young Club trying to work on all means, to enhance our standards higher, if not better :) We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors who stood with us through rain or shine and everyone who has made an effort to be with us throughout the years. Special thanks to all the clubs who supported us, and just to let you guys know that we sincerely treasure and value your friendships!
People say, rugby is a gentlemen game, play by gentlemen.. and this is the truth as no matter how hard we play on the field, no matter who takes the crown and glory, and no matter who shed the tears, our friendships are forever sealed in the name of RUGBY!
GUYS THANK YOU from the bottom of our Hearts!!

I'm Back.. after a long.. SILENCE!!

Wow, its been really a long time since I last logged in, been busy.. .. extremely..

We've got like 4 months (more or less) to the upcoming BORNEO SEVENS, with our three categories of events, iRB Borneo Sevens, Asia Pacific Women Sevens & Borneo International Sevens..

Everyone has been running on their toes, with all the events participated by the Borneo Eagles this year. Need to say.. good job everyone!!!! And to the eagles... congrates for doing the Club proud....

Next, the biggest challenge would be hosting these three major events, in one spectacular weekend.. so we are inviting all rugby enthusiasts to be with us, on October 29th, 30th & 31st... where else would you wanna be???

And may I just take this opportunity to wish our Founding President, the Father of all Borneo Eagles & the Chairman of Sabah Rugby Union.. ... happy retirement! Mr. Vela Tan has recently retired from the Board of IJM Plantations Berhad, and has now taken a new exciting career :)

I should be posting more updates in the months ahead.. .. , stay tune!!
